Where is Wifi?

Learn about where to find Wifi signals

Please be aware that there are many things on the Internet that can make your computer run slowly or even be taken over by others. We HIGHLY recommend that you use an anti-spyware tool like XoftSpySE or NoAdware and occasionally clean your registry with RegCure or RegistrySmart. You don't want the Internet thugs to get ahold of your computer.

There are many places that a user can receive free access to a WiFi signal, most of which connect to the Internet. Many local coffee shops, libraries and bookstores offer WiFi to its customers, allowing free access to the Internet provided the user has a WiFi capable device (most likely a phone or laptop computer).

The user should note, however, that some places do limit Internet activity based on whether or not you are a paying customer. It is best to ask the local establishment whether or not access is free or not, and see if they can help set up your connection on your particular computer.

There are also many places around a city where people have left their own WiFi connection open to allow other people to connect on their network. The legality of connecting to these networks has been debated and will be fo years, but the fact remains that these opportunities to connect to free Internet do exist. There are many products on the market that allow a user to determine if an "open" wireless WiFi connection is available in the area. These can range from keychains to larger devices showing names and signal strengths.
